Mahesh Babu, fondly known as the Prince of Tollywood and Naani, is the son of Tollywood Super Star Krishna. Mahesh Babu was born on August 9, 1975 and is in movies since his childhood. Later he decided to take a break to concentrate on studies. Most of his education happened in Chennai.

After finishing his B.Com from the famous Loyola College in Chennai, Mahesh Babu made a debut as hero with the film Rajakumarudu which was a big hit. A series of hits soon made Mahesh Babu the heart-throb of Tollywood.

6' 3" tall Mahesh Babu, married co-star in Vamsi, Namrata Sirodkar in the year 2005.


Prince mahesh Babu started out his movie career as a child actor in his father's films before making his debut as an actor. his debut film was Rajakumarudu, cast opposite Preity Zinta. his next fews films such as Yuvaraju and Vamsi also helped mahesh's career. But in 2001, his release Murari became a big hit and ran for 175 days. mahesh and Sonali Bendre played the main roles of the film. However in 2002, mahesh had a dull phase. Both releases Takkari Donga and Bobby flopped at box office and mahesh was in need of a hit. In 2003, mahesh finally got the hit He was looking for:Okkadu. Okkadu became of the biggest hits in Tollywood for the year 2003. mahesh gave an average film, Nijam and later gave a flop viaNaani. Arjun, which released in Summer 2004, came to be an average to above average grosser. For one year, mahesh did not sign up for any film, as He was busy with Athadu from July 2004 to July 2005. All the hype was worth it as it was a big hit both in India and overseas. his most recent movie, Pokiri is another major hit in his career. his movie, Pokiri, not only became the highest grossing film in mahesh's career, but also broke all Tollywood records by grossing a share over 48 crores. mahesh's latest film, Sainikudu had a tremendous opening but failed to live up to expectations and flopped.

After Sanikudu, mahesh will be shooting for Athidhi^[3], which will be directed by Surender Reddy. Another announced movie of mahesh is Mirchi - Chala Naatu Guru, produced by Durga Arts under the direction of Jaasti Hemamber.
